Phoenix

Last weekend Andy and I went to visit my grandpa in Arizona. We had a great time. My parents were already there. We got in Thursday night late and my cute grandpa and wanted to pick us up so he stayed up way later than he usually does. We spent Friday and most of Saturday helping my grandpa paint several rooms in his house. It was a lot of work, but well worth the effort.

Friday evening we went out to dinner with my parents, grandpa, and aunt and uncle. We had some yummy Mexican food before we went back to my aunt's house. Corinne and Klint ame over with their kids. It was fun to see Corinnie and meet her cute family. She has the cutest kids! Of course, that night on the way home, we were forced to stop for ice cream. Saturday after we finished the house, my awesome cousin Corinne colored, highlighted, and cut my hair. I love it and even better Andy seems to like it. Saturday evening we went out to my cousin Stacy's house to see her and her family. We ate pizza and just hung out. Andy and I got a little lost on the way home, but we finally made it back to my aunt's house to pick up my parents and grandpa. Grandpa sure does know what I need. He was dead tired but turned back and asked if I needed ice cream. I told him that I did not need ice cream, but I do always like it!! He told my dad to go get some for me because I was his sweetheart. I love my grandpa. Andy could learn a lot from him:) I tried to get my grandpa to teach Andy to say yes dear, but Andy was a slow learned on that one! Sunday was a very relaxing day. My dad had told Andy the night before that he was going to wake him up at 10 if he was not awake. Food to his word, at 10 am my dad gave Andy his wake up call. To my surprise Andy was actually pleasant about it! That morning we went to the Mesa Temple. Andy's parents got married there and he had never seen the temple. We got some really fun pictures.

Before we left for the temple, grandpa came out and said "I think we have a major problem." All of us were thinking oh no. He continued, " I am not sure how we will be able to get Andy up for his flight tomorrow. If he does not get up until 9 or 10 the flight will have already left." We all got a good laugh out of that. We went to church at grandpa's ward and got to meet the 10 year olds that he has in primary. They were cute. That night we went to my aunt's for dinner with the cousins. After dinner we went to visit my grandma's grave. She was an amazing woman and it was good to get to go visit the site and bring flowers.

That night we went back to grandpa's house and Andy and I played my dad and grandpa in rook. Unfortunately, we lost the first game big time, but we were able to come spank them the second game. My grandpa said "It does not matter to me if I win or loose, and if you do not believe that then give me a dollar." So I quickly asked Andy for a dollar and gave it to him. The next morning grandpa gave me my dollar back and said that he could not keep it because it was like taking candy from a baby. Then we left for the airport to come home. We had a WONDERFUL visit and I am so glad that we went.
